County of Pueblo, Colo. | Community Information Volunteer
I worked with the Community Information Manager with Public Relations, event planning, social media and community outreach during the semester.

The Dept. of Human Services in Pueblo County had more foster children than foster parents in the system.  As the Community Information Volunteer, I created the DHS' Foster Parents Needed Social Media calendar. I used an Excel sheet to keep the campaign organized. This was a grass roots campaign since DHS does not have a budget to advertise their services and the need for foster parents. A DHS Facebook site was created and promoted through the Pueblo County's Facebook page to invite followers. This Social Media Calendar for the campaign resulted in two articles in the Pueblo Chieftain and several Facebook posts. The goal was to inform the Pueblo community of the need for foster parents. Below are Facebook posts created along with the Facebook analytics.

The press release is one of four myths' in the campaign. I wrote "Myth 2" press release.

The two Pueblo Chieftain articles resulting from the foster care calendar I created and series of Myth press releases.
